Chair Certification Program
Are you ready to level up your skills as a chair? Whether you’ve led 20 committees or have never held a gavel, the NYMUNL chair certification program will help you learn the skills you need and display your qualifications to lead a committee.
The NYMUNL Chair Certification Program is a three tiered system designed to help students develop the skills needed to become strong and effective Model United Nations chairs.

Each course focuses on key skills and benchmarks in chairing high school committees
Level I: NYMUNL Certified Chair
The first level of the NYMUNL Chair Certification program focuses on the fundamentals of procedure, committee management, neutrality, and delegate engagement.

Level II: Advanced Chair
The NYMUNL Advanced Chair certification builds on those skills, preparing experienced chairs to independently manage advanced and large committees, support newer chairs, and handle conflicts and delegate equity.

Level III
Level III is the highest level and recognizes chairs who are ready to train others, evaluate chairs, develop resources, and take on senior leadership roles.
